This place is amazing! My go to for great Mexican food. Authentic and delicious! I get something different each time, and all of it is fantastic. The lady server, who makes the salsa also, is so kind and professional. Definitely go here!

My wife and I have been coming to Somis Market for several years now. This tiny hole in the wall is so charming and welcoming. We are Hispanic and my mother was considered by all a fantastic Mexican food maker. She has since past but I'm not missing anything when I go to Somis Market for breakfast on the weekends. Get there early because by 10:00 it gets really busy. Their llevos rancheros are the best I have ever tried. With the chile verde sauce and chunks of pork, authentic beans and rice and I love their home made corn tortillas. I would eat this every day if I could. The posole and the menudo are second to none. Those are my second option if I'm feeling soup. The waitress Dorthy is a doll, always so cheerful and efficient. Always goes above and beyond serving us. I'm shocked this place has not been on " Diners and Drive-in and Drives". Well probably for the better because the secret would be out and we would probably have to wait a very long time to eat. Can't wait for my next meal there-tomorrow!!

We had a Michelada (perfection) asada fries (pretty good) chicken quesadilla (life changing for my 9 year old) it had oozy melty gooey cheese with a perfect side of pico de gallo. Their pico is freshly made and you can taste the difference. The asada burrito was just as delicious! You order at the front when you walk in and then sit in the dining area and they bring your food out. Friendly and kind people but it can get toasty inside!

I've lived in Camarillo for 20 years and have heard many times this is the spot for breakfast burritos. Finally today my oldest daughter dragged me here. We parked in the back, I didn't know there was this lot. This was one thing that discouraged me from trying this place, the parking. But with the lot in backlit is easy in and out. The man who helped us was very polite and patient. He helped explain what burritos we were looking for based on our wants. We then waited and walked around the store. We waiting a very long time and asked about our food. Guess there was a mixup and our food had been ready for a while. The food was still warm and delicious. My eggs were fluffy and mixed well with the bacon and sausage. We all finished our food and were very impressed with the taste. We will definitely return.

Somis Cafe has my heart because I had the best carnitas burrito here the other day and I can't stop thinking about it. What a shame I've driven by this spot so many times without stopping in, don't wait so long and be like me, hurry and check this spot out! A sweet little cafe and market in Somis. I had no idea what authentic and delicious Mexican food they were serving up in this joint. This spot will be a new rotation of mine when I'm craving a hearty carnitas burrito. They had some parking in the back but I would recommend coming for an early lunch as I could tell this spot started to get a little busy by 12pm. When you walk inside you order at the front counter where you would ring up your snacks. They have a menu posted with all of your classic staples. I was starving and went with a burrito. At first I worried there weren't enough toppings in the burrito but trust me the flavor is there! I bought a massive burrito with meat, beans, rice, and pico for under $13. What an absolute steal! The gentlemen working the counter/register was very nice. Waited for my number to be called from the sweet lady who was working the kitchen. I was impressed that my order was called out in about 5 minutes. They have a very cute dining room that you can eat at but I was working so opted for my burrito to go. Definitely would love to come back to eat inside as it was cozy and nice. Back to my burrito. The carnitas burrito here is a 10/10. Omg what flavor! The juiciest and most flavorful carnitas meat I've ever had. I'm a stickler for good carnitas, normally I need my pork to have a little crunch but here that wasn't necessary. The grilled pork was super flavorful despite not having the char I usually crave. The flavors were just so good it was perfect as is. I appreciate the don't load it with too many toppings as it tasted much better being simplistic. Wow, what an amazing meal. Totally unassuming little spot is serving up some of the best food I've had in a while, I can't wait to come back with friends!

Well this was a treat... too my blue bride on a car ride to Somis for breakfast at Somis Cafe and Market. A humble neighborhood store in a small town where folks are friendly and really know how to make you feel right at home. Very popular, too. The food was really good. The service was too. Definitely a place where we will return!

Amazing food and. Amazing and sweet abulelas to make sure your fed right! Pricey Breakfast Burritos but filling and delicious. I get mine with beans instead of potatoes (you get more egg that way). Salsa and Pico are amazing with said burritos. Can't wait to come back and try more menu items like Tamales.

First day of vacation and I treated myself to Somis Cafe for an early lunch. This hidden market/ eatery is a gem. So many choices on the menu I've tried to pick something different every time. Never disappointed ever thing is authentic as it gets. Small dining room inside very intimate with only 9 tables. If you're heading out of town stop by and try it out. Seriously great service and excellent portions for the price!! Thank you Dorothy, for the great experience and conversation. Made me feel like we were old friends catching up.
